AC Current Transducer

An AC Current Transducer is a device that measures AC current and converts it into a proportional low-level output signal, such as 0–10V DC or 4–20mA, which can be easily read by PLCs, controllers, or monitoring systems. Instead of directly measuring high current (like 50A, 100A, or more), it uses a sensing method—often based on a current transformer (CT) or Hall-effect principle—to safely detect the current flowing through a conductor and convert it into a standardized signal.
